WHO WE ARE
-

Josh Tripp, Founder & CEO
Construction has been trickling down his bloodline for generations. One great grandfather built violins and guitars; and installed finish carpentry on yachts after serving in WWII. Another great grandfather built barns and timber frames. Josh learned much from his ‘Grampa Charlie’, and uncles Jim and Chip; brothers and builders. After 9 years as a Portland Firefighter (while simultaneously running a small construction business), Josh decided to leave the PFD to focus more on Big Country Built. When not at work he enjoys time with his wife Kelsey and their three kids.

Jaime Carter, AIA, WELL AP, Director of Operations and Project Management
Jaime brings more than 20 years of industry experience to Big Country Built. Her background spans custom homes, high-end renovations, and complex commercial construction work, combining a strong design foundation with hands-on project leadership to guide projects from early planning through completion.
As Director of Operations and Project Management, Jaime oversees project planning, coordination, and execution while remaining actively involved in day-to-day project management. As a New York–licensed architect and seasoned construction professional, she brings a unique perspective that bridges design and construction. This dual background allows her to collaborate seamlessly with clients, architects, and trades, ensuring clear communication, thoughtful coordination, and a building process that feels organized, transparent, and enjoyable. She is especially passionate about guiding homeowners through complex custom projects—helping them feel informed, supported, and excited as their homes take shape.
Though a more recent transplant to Maine, Jaime and her husband were married in Harpswell and have long felt drawn to the state’s rugged beauty and outdoor lifestyle. When she’s not working, she enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, traveling, and exploring Maine with her husband and their Vizsla, Atlas. -

Ben Miklovich, Director of Sales
Ben was a track athlete at Wheaton College prior to running his own construction business in Colorado. Moving home to Maine, he continued taking on and managing some projects on his own, prior to coming on board with Big Country Built. Ben either spends his free time with his wife, Emily, or standing in 4 feet of water with a fly rod in hand.

Ashley Cronin, Director of Preconstruction
Ashley grew up in Maine and graduated from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She thoroughly enjoyed working with people in a healthcare setting but after 15 years she felt it was time to for a new and exciting challenge. Residential construction, specifically layout and design, have always been a passion of hers. Ashley’s prior experience coordinating nursing staff and patients has translated seamlessly to the building process where clear and concise communication is paramount. When Ashley isn’t at Big Country Built she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. They absolutely LOVE Maine summers on Little Sebago Lake!
